Eva's Last Day

I didn't cry.  Maybe its because Eva wasn't sad?

Adios Vista de la Colina

Today was Eva's last day at her elementary school.  It is a lovely school.  It really is, she hasn't had a "bad" teacher or experience yet.  I am sad to see her leave a wonderful school.

But... I am excited for her, and nervous.  She will be going to a school next year with over 2,000 students.

Today's moving up ceremony included 6 third grade classes.  Each student shared a favorite memory.

EACH STUDENT.

(Mental math 6 classes X approximate 24 students = 144!)
Damn! Should have brought a flask!

I knew what Eva was sharing ahead of time; and I didn't feel it was that significant.
But after sitting through 144 "I liked my field trip, " and "It's the day I met Johnny," I applauded her memory and uniqueness.
