Coming to Mommy's Class

Every year, the end draws to a close sooooo quickly.  Like, I still have plans to teach x, y, and z, and my coworkers look at me and are like, "What are you doing?  The year is over."

This year was no different.  I officially stopped teaching a week out, and spent that last week celebrating the success of the year, taking down the room, and closing up shop.  I have students until the very last day, and a principal that likes to be out Friday right after the buses pull away!

So, its a little stressful.  Every year though, Dyleva looks forward to coming to my classroom.  I don't understand why.  I'm cranky.  I can't play with them or entertain them because I am crazy busy.  But yet, every year they beg to come.

Eva came in Wednesday afternoon, after Moving up Day, and Friday.  Dylan came in Thursday.

Oh yeah.  I am not crazy enough to bring them in together; I still have a partial class of students to maintain!

This year, Dyleva made friends.  Not only with my students, but my coteacher has five children!  Two of which are same sex/same age as Dyleva.

Some interesting incidents, of course, never a dull moment at my school.  Dylan was out on the playground with another teacher, and the ninos had to all come back inside because a building close by caught on fire.  Here is the view from my classroom window.

Mess! one day left to remedy!

Cleaning the lockers!

Did not survive a day with Mommy...

I'm two for two!

Oh Yashua. Otherwise known as the cat.  I will miss you.

It all worked out.  My room didn't finish perfectly how I like to leave it, but I give it a B+.  I have a terrario that probably will not survive the summer....
