Trimming the tree

Who would have thought we would be trimming the tree in April, but I got a phone call.

Jeff, wanting to know if I could get Dyleva home by a certain time.

Sure?

I soon found out why.  Some climber dude was going to scale our trees with a chainsaw.

Fascinating.  It could hardly pull me away from preparing dinner.  But the niños found it entertaining.  Eva especially kept pushing her limits to move closer.

They sat out in the rain and watched as huge branches were trimmed and fell helplessly to the ground.
