Piratas

Under attack
Dylan asks me this morning, "Mommy, can you come play with me?"

Which I quickly found out, as with Eva, that really means:

"Will you come and watch me but not touch anything?"

So I humored him, but started documenting his play.  He was playing in his bedroom with his pirates.
Cannonball marbles

"If their ship sinks, they can come on their ship.  This guy is their pet."  Referring to the sea creature.  "He eats the bad guys."

Sea Creature
"This is all theirs, and they all share them.  Now they have swords and shooter guns.  Look Mom, they just shot you."

"Me?"  I asked in shock.

Princess Emily
"Yeah, It's just toys, Mom."

Fair enough.

"They are going to shoot their sail all the way to Puerto Rico."

We recovered the sail.

"Now we need to get this stuff to Queen Emily. She's in Puerto Rico.  She was trapped by Captain Hook."
Relaxing in the ocean

"He's going to shoot this."  (giant marble)

He fires at the ship. "It's going to sink now."

Going to Fantasy Island
"It's going to be a party up here.  Because it's a huge boat.  They are not celebrating, they are going to get the princess back.  It is a party on the boat."

"Look, now they are going to shoot the princess onto the other pirate ship!" (Through the cannon.)  "They put her there so she could be safe, because sometimes bad guys come on the big ship."

"These guys can breathe underwater, so they can relax in the wáter so there is more space.  Their treasure is now in the ocean.  Now they are putting it in the treasure chest.  They are just going to go in one minute to Fantasy Island."

Not pirates, but later Dylan playing with his Ninja in the sun.
