Well, not exactly in our household. At first, we all thought it was complete overkill, but now that we understand the proactivness behind it we are a little more accepting.
Eva, Tia Lisa, Titi, and I were going to go to Roller Derby yesterday.
Canceled.
Jeff and Dylan were going to his school for a Talent Show.
Canceled.
Sunday was the Sabres game.
Canceled.
I could go on. Almost every event has been cancelled. Even birthday parties. I even had taken the day off next Friday to take the kids to Strong. It is disappointing. However, the fallout ( for us at least) may not be that bad.
School might be closing due to the coronavirus outbreak. I will still have to work from home, but I will have a big chunk of time home alone with my ninos.
Dyleva was feeling a little apprehensive. Eva, not so much, because they have been talking about it at school and giving them the facts. We also talk about it at home, but there is some sort of verification when you are reassured from a second source.
Dylan has been a bit more concerned. He doesn't show it outright, but he asks me about it a lot, which shows me he is thinking about it. Frequently.
I am not concerned about the virus, but the fallout. People are freaking out and doing stupid things. That is what worries me the most.

We braved the grocery store today, Dyleva and I . It was not a bad experience. So I feel better, knowing that I do not have to wait in line for 2 hours for bread.
I am excited. I know that's bad. But we can do movie marathons, scrapbooking, puzzles, art projects, nature walk!!!!
We got this.
