Distance Learning week 6

Wednesday, April 22

Today was BUSY!!!
I had a meeting and a live class (webinar).
Dylan had a meeting.
Eva was being difficult with an assignment.
It snowed.
And snowed.
It's fricking April people!

Thursday, April 23

This much time together, we are bound to learn about one another.
Eva has always been a nail biter.  But in this coronavirus time I yell everytime her hand goes to her mouth.
So I told her to start chewing gum.
Eva has become a bubble blower!  Big bubbles!

Dylan, however, has a slightly more annoying habit.  He  has become a whistler.  All the time.  Sometimes on purpose.  Sometimes subconsciously.  High pitched and annoying.

We hiked the old man park again today.  But I am so excited because I signed us up for local hiking challenge.  Twenty hikes in six months!

Friday, April 24

I always look forward to Fridays, but I don't know why.  We have tried to have centers for the past three weeks.  Fridays are tough. The ninos take a long time getting through their assignments.

Saturday, April 25

Tia Linda hosted a virtual baking show today.  Dyleva made chocolate marshmellow cookies with al their cousins.  Good one Tia Linda!

We took a hike behind our house.
Later in the day, Starch hosted another musical hour.  Jill, Chris, the ninas, and the dogs came by after and we had dinner together.
Great day!

Sunday, April 26
Today we caught up on work, played some games.  I played a little American girl.  We took a muddy hike in the rain at Glen Falls.

Monday, April 27

Today was a great Monday.
I had a grade level meeting, but after that Tia Lisa came over.  She brought us dinner and stayed for a socially distanced drink.
We went to Reinstein and completed our first hike for the challenge.

Baby geese!

Dylan's crystals

Tuesday, April 28

Today we did something a little different.
We met up with Titi and cousins and walked the city to look at murals.
FUN!!!

Distance Learning week 5

Wednesday, April 15

Today we hiked Marley's bike path. We have been having some disagreements about our daily walk.  My goal was to take them to many different parks, so they could pick their favorites.  So this week we began taking turns.   This weather is slightly ridiculous.  Eva and Dylan have been playing a lot in the back woods.  They are preparing a space.  I had a fire while they explored.  The ninos worked on their  scrapbooks today.  We took some time to organize all of our stuff!

Thursday, April 16

Today was my pick.
We watched "Because of Winn Dixie."
I love this movie!
It seriously snowed all day.  We hiked in between snowflakes.  At one point during the day, it was a blizzard.

Jeff has almost finished the kitchen, and we played a board game together.  Dyleva celebrated with a dance party in the kitchen.

Friday, April 17
We actually pulled Jeff away from his kitchen today to take a hike through Akron Falls.  It was nicer weather than the last time we were there.
Today Dyleva had a virtual cooking lesson with Tia Linda.  They made carmel corn.  We kind of set the stove on fire, (who knew vanilla was flamible?)  Other than that, it was fun!

Saturday, April 18
Today we returned to Como Park, with Jeff, and found a very cool part of the park.  Last time we walked the islands, this time behind the sledding hill.

In the afternoon, Eva and I began our sea glass wall.  My little stripmining daughter found every one of those pieces at the beach!

Sunday, April 19
Today was a lazy day.  We did a lot of catch up work, cleaned up around the house, played board games.  It was so cold.  We walked our back path and then hibernated.

Monday, April 20
My students got their tablets today, which means I was on my phone most of the day sending messages.
But the sun was shining, and we took a beautiful walk at Sandy Beach.
When we came back, I promised I would photo "Dyleva Hutch," the name of their secret hideout in the woods.

Except now I guess it is not so secret.....Oops.

Tuesday, April 21
It snowed all day today.
In between snowflakes, we hiked at Mommies Park.

After, we spent the afternoon learning how to play poker.  We played for Easter Candy!  What fun!
