It seems as if this year it sneaked up on us.
Every year we make a list. We make a list of places and activities (a wish list) to guide our daily adventures.
Each day I begin with "Mommy school," to maintain and practice skills for the upcoming year, but also to teach them Spanish. Dylan is reading words, and Eva is writing a bilingual book.
To be continued....
Anyway, today was the first day we took an adventure trip. Dyleva chose the Botanical Gardens.
Excellent.
It was a chilly, overcast day. We were ready!
As we entered they presented Dyleva with a scavenger hunt.
Fun!!!
We passed from room to room, Dyleva examining every feature.
"Mommy! Look at this one!"
"This plant has elephant ears!"
"This one makes chocolate."
This is the only one I found. |
The highlights included the desert room, the children's playroom, and the cloud forest.
The scavenger hunt was so much fun, Dyleva found some of the ítems right away.
We had a very nice afternoon discovering and exploring the gardens.
We ended with a picnic in I believe, the serenity garden.
Clearly, very serene. |
