AKG!

 I love art.  

And the fact that AKG had been closed, was really hard.  We attended right before it was closed down.  We saw an exhibit of light.  It was amazing.  And then we sat in an auditorium and listened to jazz.  

So I couldn't wait for it to open.  Actually that is not true. We waited a long time; but for the right time.  

My sisters were on board.  I gathered my crew.  All were respectful; if not confused.  They showed interest and appreciation.  

And then we went to Mr. Sizzles for lunch.

The End of Redemption Week

Let's be honest.  The week in Ellicottville is not for me.  

I could digress...but let's not.

This February break instead felt like a redemption week.  I had the opportunity to spend Quality time with my kids, let them choose how to spend their days and get tiresome tasks completed around the house.  

Everyone got to pick one day; and how to spend it.  We went to the mall and Urban Air entertained Dyleva and friends.  They had a great time!

The Rink

Global warming has hit home.  It has been very hard to get the ice rink to freeze this year.  We did manage to get two days!  Dylan and Eva went on it the first night.  The second night Dylan had a play date and had a lot of fun! Here are some shots of them enjoying the winter wonderland.

 

Skiing in the New Year

Tradition!  We started the new year off on a skiing trip with no snow.  For the past few years we have met in Ellicottville post Christmas, to ring in the new year.

This year the conditions were rough.  The kids were champs, skiing over rock, mud, and sometimes patches of grass.  It was cold; beautiful days.  It was just dry.

We spent three lovely nights up on the hill, with a view of the ski slopes.  We watched them groom what little snow there was.  

The cousins were able to spend some quality time together.  Everyone came home in one piece, a good way to begin the new year!  Yay 2024!
