Christmas Season

Some of our Christmas activities and traditions have changed throughout the year, but the Christmas spirit is still here!

Enano still showed up after we got our Christmas tree.

We decorated our tree.

We created gingerbread houses.

We completed an advent Christmas puzzle.

We skated on an ice rink.

We caroled.

We celebrated.

Hoco

I didn't know what it was, and quite honestly, last year, I don't remember it being that big of a deal.  But this year, Eva is on all the committees and clubs and Hoco is HUGE.

She has been volunteering after school for weeks to prepare for this week.  She has been going to all the games.  Yes, football games.  ON PURPOSE!

Even dress and shoes have created drama in our household.  Nonetheless, she was beautiful.  I didn't get many details, but here are some photos.

A Hollow Halloween

Things were a bit different this year.  Dyleva and the cousins are getting older.  They are starting to make other plans with school friends.  Eva ended up going to a friends house and trick or treating in her neighborhood.

Dylan brought a friend to his cousin's house.  They went around the neighborhood with Sam for a bit.  Eventually, he hooked up with school friends, and then Dyl really put in some effort.  He must have brought home $200 worth of candy.

Here are some beautiful pumpkins Dyleva carved.  Happy Hollow Halloween!

Into the Woods!

Everyone was very excited about anticipating a weekend in the woods.  Dylan must have mentioned it every day for a month.

It has been a busy start to the school year.  Eva has ATA and a ton of extracurricular school activities.  Dylan has his part-time hockey job and has taken on working out with a personal trainer, golf lessons, and additional skate and shoots.

We arrived at dusk on a Friday night.  There was a kid's cabin this year, so I barely saw Dyleva.  We had perfect weather for the first 48 hours.  We took advantage by taking a six mile hike; which also finished the hiking challenge for me.

It has been so warm, the leaves had just begun to change color.  It was truly beautiful. We had done the hike before, but it was LONG.

The end of the stay it rained.  That did not deter the Ninos from playing in the creek, however.  Dylan even went swimming.  Crazy kid.  We all had a relaxing time.
