As hard as it is to compare to Lin Manuel's version, Jeff insisted on taking us (Eva) to Hamilton when it came this year.
It was....amazing.
There are no other words. The actors were excellent. The singers spot on.
It was a lovely evening!

It was a lovely evening!
It was a crazy unexpected storm! It led to a blackout! We had so much fun with it! We played cards and mini hockey in the dark!
Unfortunately, the storm also severed a giant limb into our pool and broke the liner.
Ah. Cocos.
We have family that is incredibly kind and generous.
We drove to Indy to be together. Everyone spent Thanksgiving Day together. It was lovely.
Then the next day, we all went golfing. So fun!
That night, the children had a special sleepover party, designed with their personal signature beds!
The adults got locked in an escape room....
It was a lovely weekend to get the family together!
It's not about scoring goals. It's about trying your best, working together as a team, and having fun! But it is nice to see Dyl win a game every now and then. He has definitely learned a lot and improved since last spring.
All that aside.....We have to celebrate a HATRICK!!!!
Take a look at some of these clips!
I called it.
When we decided to postpone the Halloween party two weeks due to Covid, I looked outside on the mild non-windy, non-precipitation day, and thought, yep. We are so going to pay for this.
My birthday weekend, (the following weekend). We hiked. The weather was gorgeous...for November. I knew it was coming.
Jeff set the tent up the day before. The morning of the Halloween party, it rained, and then it turned into snow.
After extremely low contact, zero symptoms, and a false negative rapid test, Dylan was diagnosed positive. Thankfully, he was ok; no sickness. Just irritability associated with too much school work....
I took a week off. Presents came in the mail. People dropped of bags of candy for him. Meanwhile, Eva, who gets up daily at 5:30 for school, was like, "Really?"
It was a tough week; having to monitor his work (to an acceptable level) and keep up my sub plans was quite challenging.
Here is Dylan on his first day of quarantine. Life is rough.
Our Halloween took a turn for the boring, having one down with Covid, (but ok). Eva and her fantastic creativity designed an entire afternoon of games and activities for her family.
She began with a "What's Missing?" game. She placed a bunch of objects out, removed one, and we all had to guess which one was missing. Fun!
Eva created a trivia game, a Halloween dressup game, a ball-shooting game, and many more.
We also did taste-testing. She truly went above and beyond to create a fun afternoon for us!
And then we carved pumpkins!
