It took a lot of restraint.
I completely put the needs of someone else before my own Dave needs.
We got Jeff, Jimmy Buffett tickets for his birthday. The restraint came in when Dave is performing there three days before....
I, myself have attended several JB concerts....although never with my children. We are essentially creating new Parrot heads.
I am not a fan...but I have a lot of respect for the fans, or should I say the following of the man....
Anyway, to present the gift, we printed clues from the songs, like "cheeseburger, shark, margarita, etc."
We made a card collage.
In case he didn't get it, (Which, he didn't.)

Eva made hats to put on. Each hat had a parrot glued to the top.
Come on now.... Eventually he got it
We will be changing our latitude soon enough!
My little night owl has always been inquisitive. It's a good thing. But she's no dummy.
She waits until we are tucking her in at night. And then she asks a question.
"Mommy, where do babies come from?"
"Mommy, where do you go when you die?
"Mommy, what is cancer, and who gets it?
These are just some past examples.
Last night she started asking me about earning money and paying bills. Very important concepts for her to understand.
But at bedtime?
But I bite. Our lives are so busy. I would rather address her concerns in an honest, open discussion than a quick response in the midst of running errands or making dinner.
Oh yeah. My little night owl has it all figured out!
It is hard to believe that a decade ago, we were struggling to have a baby.
Ten years passes fast.
Now its hard to believe that in another decade, I could be a grandma.
Ug.
This is part of the reason I have maintained the blog. So I can remember all of the wonderful memories.
My little girl is 10.
