Eva at the BPO!

These opportunities came from ATA over the summer.  I asked Eva if she was interested.  She replied, "Sure," very nonchalantly.  Well, I am pretty happy she did.  Yesterday was a Hispanic celebration at the BPO.  I took her down in the afternoon to rehearse, and it was packed!

We returned at night with Tia Linda in tow, and had a fabulous evening.  The show was Mandy Gonzalez performing.  She has been in Wicked, In the Heights, and Hamilton.  She was amazing!  Eva and friends were called on stage to perform a song that Lin Manuel Miranda wrote about her parents with her.  What a lovely show!

After, we went to the corner bar where Eva and Linda met JoAnn Falleta, the music director for the BPO.  We also met and talked with Travis Estes, the vice president for marketing.  Not a bad evening!

Pumpkin Farm

I love the Pumpkin Farm!  We go every year.  Admittedly, this year it did feel a little awkward; like Dyleva is outgrowing it.  But, screw it.  TRADITION!

We got our dulce like normal.  Then Dyleva opted not to play on the slides, and went right for the hay maze.  After that, we visited the animals.  I am including throwback fotos from an early year!!!

To present day....

Curtain up!

Ata had a Curtain-up celebration to coincide with Shea's Curtain Up.  This is Eva's first year at this level, so I was unsure what that meant.  It was lovely! Marcus Paul James was the lead performer.  He has been in Ain't too Proud, In the Heights, and Rent.  What fun!  In addition to hearing him preform, each ATA student chose a song to perform.  My little Magnolia sang "Satisfied" from Hamilton.  She nailed it!  I would attach a video, but for some reason she does not want it in public.  : (

One hour of ice time!

Tia Linda was kind enough to get Dylan an hour of ice time at LeCom for his birthday.  It took us a while to schedule it, but we decided to do it right before he went back to school.

All his friends came except one poor player with a concussion. The boys had a great time, and then all met for dinner downstairs after.
