A pain in the mouth...

 My poor babies.

They do everything right...but even in spite of that, they BOTH still needed braces.

Today, Dylan got his bottom braces put on.  Eva got her bottom braces put on.

Both of my ninos are in pain.

I am so sad for them.  But, this is for the good in the long run, right?

Extended snow!!!!

Not only were we blessed with one snow day, but the snow gods blessed us with many! It snowed off and on for three straight days.  We had two major accumulations, and one small one.  However, the problem was the city, and the inabilty to clear the snow in time.  South Buffalo was a mess, apparently.

Dyleva had an additional snow day on Monday, and I had four snow days!  We played hide and seek every night in the snow.  During the day, I built a snow hill, and Dyleva refined it into three snow paths.  We had lots of hot cocoa!

One of the days I made lasagnes.  The kids did baking one day also.  On Monday, I let them each have a play date.  We played games and had a blooket tournament.  We decorated the house for Christmas.  But most of all, we watched a lot of Christmas movies!

Snow night!

I was hiding behind a hockey net, in about 2 feet of snow.  It was very peaceful.  I could hear voices all around me.  But they couldn't find me.  After about TEN minutes, I hear, "Mommy!  I see you!

The best thing about a snow day, is PLAYING in the snow!

This storm has been hyped for five days.  We did get substantial snow in a short amount of time, but it has not been debilitating for Lancaster.

Last night I had UB.  My prof let us go early, due to all the warnings.  I meet Linda and Pete out for dinner; they kind of had my daughter.  And by the time we went home, it was SNOWING!!

We slept in.  Had a Big breakfast.  Played in the snow. Did homework.  Played in the house.  Ate dinner.  Played in the snow again, and now hopefully more snow will come!

Turning Around

It has been a struggle, and an eye-opener for hockey for Dylan.

Last year, he was the best of the best.  They couldn't lose a game.  It was almost embarrassing for the other team.

This year, they have been the other team.

But, little by little they have been turning it around.  They had a couple ties.  And tonight Dylan scored his first goal (with the Warriors) and got to bring home the hat!

We are so proud of how hard he has been practicing, and keeping his grades up in order to miss school!  Go Dylan!

Bruce

During Dylan's tournament last week, Eva had auditions for Matilda, her next performance.

She had mixed feelings.  She really wanted to go "out with a bang," because this is her last "big" performance before she joins AEE (and is at the bottom again...)

But at the same time, I don't think she wanted to be Matilda.

She ordered her wishes: 1. Matilda (?)  2. Ms. Honey  3. Bruce

Eva got Bruce.  Who has a significantly larger part in the musical, than in the movie.  Eva also has two songs!

We are super excited for her, and always proud of her hard work!

In Cahoots

As the boys went out of town, Eva and I embraced our time together.
Friday, was my day.
We woke up and went to a rock store.

Yes.  A rock store.

Eva ended up loving it, after the fact.
Then we went out to a fancy lunch.
McD's...

Don't judge.
Then we went to paint pottery.
We had a great time, until I realized how to get the hockey game on my phone....

We ubered out that night and went to our favorite Mexican restaurant.  Just a night out with the girls!

Then we went home and watched a few chick flix!

The next day was Eva's day.  She went to ATA to usher and watch "Little Shop of Horrors."  When she got back, she was antsy, but then we watched Dylan's 3rd game.

After the game, we began a scavenger hunt that Eva had prepared for me.

Seriously Eva?  You want me to help you clean your room?
But the next clue made much more sense...

Yay!  Gabby "wasn't able" to join us the day before, but apparently the two girls were in cahoots!

So we did the Tropical Cafe, next was ....grocery shopping?

Upon return, the girls in cahoots had more surprises.

What a great weekend, in spite of all. Dylan placed third in the tournament.  Nice job Warriors!
