My most MVP

What a weekend we have had!

Friday I went straight to Dylan's first tournament game.  They won the first game that night, but one little boy on Dylan's team got a dirty check by another player.  He pushed him into the boards, (for no reason; wasn't part of the game) and the boy ended up with a broken shoulder.

Ug.

I have been sooo upset for that little boy.  Not only because it was unprovoked, but because it totally could have been Dyl.

We went home and Dylan rested for the next day.

Day 2 of the tournament: The Regals played Oswego in the am and Potsdam in the afternoon.

Both games they played extremely well.  Unfortunately having been shorthanded, they lost both games, but just barely.

My boy.  Hardest working player on the team!  He was awarded Most Valuable Player for both games!

So sweet, he gave his second medal to an equal participant in the game that is an awesome scorer but doesn't always have as much flair.

Dylan feels shame.

After a very fun day 2, hanging with the hockey parents, day 3 was cancelled.

Apparently, the boy gave the unwaranted hit, was suspended for A game.  That's it.  Break someone's bone and you miss A game.

Whatever.

Anyway, the hockey dad lost his shit and started making threats against our team.

Seriously?

Hockey dads make dance moms look goooood!

Therefore, day 3 cancelled.

No one in this house could have been happier!

Congratulations Dylan!  I'm glad its over.  For a month at least...

We did have a banquet, and a final party at a bowling alley!

I AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ!

 Months of practice.

Every night, reviewing lines.

Stage positions, lighting.

Mikes.  Make-up. Curls.

Eva has worked soooo hard and the weekend is finally here!  She has 4 shows on Saturday and 4 shows on Sunday.

She is the Wizard for two shows, and ensemble for the rest.

This is by far the most intensive schedule she has had yet.

Break a leg Eva!

SURPRISE!!!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIEND!

What a change from last year at this time!

We didn't even blink last year at this time when Dylan lost a game.

The amount that Dylan has progressed in one year is amazing!

After closing out most of the season, his team won the championship!

Dylan has not only improved his hockey skills, but more importantly he has learned how to contribute to the team, how not to be a sore loser, how to play a clean game, and most importantly to just try your best and have fun.

After winning the Championship
