Nine years

I wasn't about to let my children miss out on their birthdays just because of coronavirus.

Eva had a fancy, intimate fondue party.  For Dylan, I felt he needed something a bit more physical.

Jeff built him a Ninja warrior course in the backyard.  I was the designer of course...

It came complete with quintuple boards, zipline, ooklek slip and slide, army crawl, balance beam, ladder crawl, floor is lava, and a swing rope.

The kids had a great time!  They got very dirty and messy, and loved every minute of it!  What I wasn't expecting was that the adults would have and equally entertaining time!

and now the "adults".......

Preparing for the ninja warrior/Parkour/floor is lava/birthday celebration

I am the architect.
Jeff is the engineer.
Or vice versa.

For Dylan's birthday we had to cancel.  Instead, I decided to construct a "floor is lava/ ninja warrior course in our backyard.

I designed it.

Jeff built it.

He really got on board eventually.

I am really excited for Dylan.  It is just the cousins, but I am sure they will have a good time.

Our first few outings

Western New York has been slow to open up, which has been fine with me.  I haven't missed anything with the exception of yoga.
So even though we have been hiking daily, we have not been jumping back in to the public scene.  The few places we have gone, have been outdoor.

We have gone strawberry picking, to the zoo, and also digging for fossils.  Here are some highlights!

Tia Jill and the girls went berry picking with us.  This was the fastest picking experience I think we have had!  It was beautiful.  Afterward, Dyleva and I hiked the Clarence bike path.  Then those crazy ninos wanted to wash the cars!

Dylan had been asking to go to the zoo for months.  I was hesitant.  We hadn't been in over 2 years.  We found many changes.  No more elephants!  Now there is a snow leopard and a red panda.

Today, we went to Penn Dixie.

If nothing else, things are more efficient.  Everything is pre-paid, and not crowded.  Dyleva was in good spirits today.  We found a ton of fossils.  We had a really nice morning.
